The file comes in two versions for laser cutters: as a full design and as a split design. You can use the split design if you'd like to make a project larger than your cutting mat / cutting bed. The design is exported at 12" width, but it can be made on a Glowforge at the size of 18" if you're using the split design.
The design for Cricut - Silhouette users is saved at around 10" so it can easily fit your cutting mat. The recommended material to be used is card stock.
